POCKETS

A quality made garment is recognised for how perfectly matched the pattern is at joined seams. Striped and checked fabrics are matched at all seams and especially when attaching the pocket to your shirt.

Generally it is recommended not to have pockets at all, since they put unnecessary stress on the shirt body. Should you however require a pocket or two to carry glasses, pens or cards, we will secure the corners with double seams and match them so well that the pocket is hardly visible.

The Pockets #1 and #5 below are generous in size with space for pens and notes.

The rounded pocket shape #2 has a casual feel. The pointy shapes #3 and #4 are ideal for a sharp and crisp look and produce a slimming effect. For plain fabrics I suggest a pleated header as in #3 and #5, which is a smart look, appropriate for business. If you would like a minimalist look, choose no pocket at all or a smaller version of any pocket, just big enough for a business
card.
