Because of the warm Australian climate a man’s jacket spends more time on the back of a chair than on his body. This means that the back of a man’s shirt is usually highly visible, making the importance of it’s styling paramount.

The fashionable trend suggests a close body fit and that the baggy shirt of the 80s is truly a thing of the past – however this does not mean you have to be uncomfortable: a well-fitted shirt will give you plenty of movement when worked with a split yoke.

HEJDA split yokes are cut on the bias for maximum give of up to an additional 3 cms across the shoulders, allowing for unrestricted arm movement. Extra ease of movement can be achieved with side pleats or double centre pleats.

The plain back at #1 below is ideal for a slim look, #2 is the most suitable choice for unrestricted arm movement. A traditional sports shirt solution is #3, on request we work it with a loop for hanging the shirt in the golf locker. A great fit for broad shoulders but a small waist is best achieved with #4, giving a fitted stylish look with optional back darts. The double box-pleat #5 is an excellent choice for silky flowing fabrics.
